More About This Scholar
Pronouns: She/her
Home Institution: Georgia Institute of Technology
Expected Graduation: 2023
Major / Minor: Architecture / Sustainable Cities
Study Abroad Location: Barcelona, Spain
“Hello” in your host country’s language: Hola
Identity: Hispanic/Latinx, First-Generation American, First-Generation College Student, Transfer Student
Future Career Goals: My future career goals include exploring the social role that architecture and design plays in the lives of different cultural groups. I aim to become a licensed architect and become better equipped to create socially responsible designs that positively impact the diverse cultural groups found in America.
Top 3 Goals for your time abroad: I hope to gain valuable insights into how architecture and urbanism can shape and reflect the social and cultural identities of different communities found in Barcelona. I would also like to use my native Spanish language to form meaningful relationships between myself and local artists, designers, architects and urban planners that extend beyond the length of my program. And finally, I hope to explore other parts of Spain and immerse myself in the local culture as much as possible!
