The Fund for Education Abroad is proud to announce Kurt L. Schmoke, President of the University of Baltimore and former Mayor of Baltimore, as the recipient of the 2026 Fritz Kaufmann Award.

Named in honor of Academic Travel Abroad founder Fritz Kaufmann, the award recognizes leaders whose service and commitment have made a positive impact on international education and the wider world.
