This past weekend we journeyed to the south of Dublin, Ireland. We explored the history of brewing at the Smithwick’s Experience in Kilkenny to the beautiful Dublin Japanese Garden. Additionally, I had the chance to venture to the Cliffs of Moher and immerse myself in the Blarney Castle & Gardens. The highlight of my trip was the visit to the Smithwick’s Experience in the city of Kilkenny. The brewery tour provided a glimpse into the fascinating Irish brewing history. I learned about the ingredients that go into crafting this iconic beer. From the malting of barley to the careful blending of hops.

The cliffs of Moher views were breathtaking, and I stood in awe of the natural beauty that surrounded me. The raw, untamed landscape instilled a sense of humility and respect for the forces of nature. Walking along the cliff edge, I felt a deep connection with the land and its rich history. It was very foggy so I wasn’t able to have the full experience but what I did see was amazing.

I found myself in the serene setting of the Dublin Japanese Garden. As I strolled through the beautiful landscapes, I admired the delicate balance of nature and design. The meticulously arranged rocks, plants, and water elements created a peaceful ambiance. The attention to detail and the respect for tradition left a lasting impression on me.

I also visited Blarney Castle & Gardens, located in County Cork. The castle, shrouded in history and folklore, was a marvel to explore. Climbing the narrow, winding stone steps to reach the famous Blarney Stone was an exciting adventure.
