Anica Acuña is in her first year of grad school at Columbia University pursuing her MFA in Theatre with a concentration in Stage Mangement. She graduated from Vassar College in 2024 with a B.A in Biochemistry and Drama. She became a FEA scholar in Spring 2023, which supported her study abroad semester in Auckland, New Zealand. Her blogs document amazing adventures including climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, skydiving in the airs of NZ, exploring the Southern Island, and taking part in many Māori traditions.
So encapsulated by FEA’s mission, Anica wanted to continue a relationship with the organization and acted as the Fall 2023 Scholar Engagment Intern. She is happy to be back as the Communications and Operations Associate.
As a queer, Hispanic, first-generation student, Anica is passionate about providing equal access to education and contributing to life-changing experiences.
