I have definitely missed some places, but this is where I’ve been to give you some ideas

Limerick

Hunt Museum (€12.50 Adult, €10 Student)

It is a fairly nice museum that has a wide range of items in its collection. At the time that I visited, they had the Made of Earth exhibit which was different then other exhibits I have seen as it was very interactive. There was also a cool VR video as a part of the exhibit.

King John’s Castle (€13 Adult, €10.50 Student)

First, you get to go through a museum about the castle that I found interesting and interactive. Then you get to go around the castle. The spiral staircases were very cool to be able to walk up. You also get a great view of Limerick from the top of the tower.

Milk Market

It’s a great place to get something to eat for breakfast or lunch on the weekend. There are a lot of tasty baked goods in addition to many other food options and fresh produce and meat.

Galway

Merlin Castle

We took a bus to get here as it is on the edge of town, but the tower is free to see. Also, the forests around the castle are very pretty to walk around and there’s some old stone walls within the woods.

Aquarium (€15 Adult, €11 Student)

It was a cute aquarium, but I don’t think it was worth the price.

Dough Bros

Good pizza for a decent price. They have some unique toppings and flavors

Mutton Island

I think there is just a water treatment facility on the island, but it’s a pretty walk along the water. It can be quite windy.

Cork

Elizabeth Fort (Free)

It’s a historical fort located near the center of the city. It’s free to enter and offers great views of Cork as well as some insight into the history of the city. Below is a picture of Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral from the fort.

Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral

It is a beautiful cathedral right next to Elizabeth Fort. It was Sunday, so we couldn’t go inside, but the outside of the cathedral is stunning. Saint Fin Barre is also the patron saint of Cork.

Fitzgerald’s Park

It is a very pretty public park located about a 30 minute walk from the center of Cork. It was a beautiful day when we visited, and the fountain was very picturesque with all the birds flying around.

Nano Nagle Place (€7.50 Adult, €5 Student)

The museum is located on the grounds where a convent and school for poorer children was located. It was an interesting look into the history of the city.

Tara’s Tea Room

A cute tea room that we did not have time to properly sit down and eat at since we had to catch the bus back to Limerick, but the cheesecake we got there was one of the best that I have ever had.

Killarney

Torc Waterfall

Below is a picture of the view if you continue along the trail and hike up the mountain. The hike is not too difficult, but it is steep and it is recommended to use shoes with ankle support. If you just want to see the waterfall, it is only a 5 minute walk up the trail from the parking lot, and that part of the trail is fairly flat.

Dingle

Driving around the peninsula along the coast offers some amazing views. Dingle is also a Gaeltacht region of Ireland which means that Irish is natively spoken there, but everyone still knows English so no need to worry about a language barrier.

Murphy’s Ice Cream

It is a little pricey, but the ice cream is made in Dingle and they have some unique flavors. The blackcurrant and Irish brown bread flavors were really good.
