Another famous site I visited during my trip to Madrid was Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Visiting the stadium was always my dream as a Real Madrid fan. It was surreal to be standing in the stadium where one of the biggest soccer matches and players is playing every year. The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is a football (soccer) stadium located in Madrid, Spain. It is home to the Real Madrid football (soccer) club, one of the most successful soccer teams in the world. Construction of the stadium began in 1944, and it was named after Santiago Bernabeu, the president of Real Madrid at the time. The stadium was designed by the architect Manuel Muñoz Monasterio and was completed in 1947. The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has hosted many important football (soccer) matches over the years, including the final of the European Cup on four occasions. It has also hosted several international matches, including the final of the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
