Portugal …

Gianna and I woke up in pitch darkness and headed to breakfast on Lido. It took me a little too long to realize that I was staring at a city and not the ocean. My friends and I got off the boat ready to take on Lagos, but we were 6 hours away and needed to figure out how to get there. We hopped on a 5 hour train then a 1 hour standing train. We made it to the Airbnb sweaty and tired. Everyone rested but then we got ready to go to dinner in the old town. It was gorgeous seeing all the bright blues and yellow of the streets and the tile floors were very slippery but beautiful. The next day, we attempted to find a beach but accidentally went hiking instead. We went for a pool day instead and had dinner at Pomo. 10/10 if you ever so happen to be in old town Lagos, Portugal, go to Pomo. It was really good Italian food (shoutout mom for finding that on TikTok). On the 17th, we got a boat tour of the cliffs and it was beautiful. My friends and I all called dibs on our mermaid caves there.

The 17th was a pretty calm day and the only thing we had planned was the boat tour so that was it. The 18th my roommate and I headed back early on the bus to go to the aquarium (time was way too short, we didn’t make it). We did check into the next place in the middle of Lisbon which was so perfect. We made the 19th our learning day so we went to the castle (which had amazing views of the city and harbor) and took a tuk tuk tour around the city. We ended at the time market where my friends and I had some of the best donuts ever. To spend our last night in Portugal, we all decided to go to a Portuguese restaurant and get ready to get back on the boat for the next port.
