Hi everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video, to learn about me, and about my upcoming study abroad experience! Coming from a financially underprivileged home in El Paso, Texas, I never thought that I’d have the opportunity to study abroad, let alone have the opportunity to study in a place as absolutely amazing as Bhutan. The FEA Scholarship has given me such an opportunity, one for which I couldn’t be more grateful, and one in which I fully expect to completely change my life. Without my grandmother, family, and friends, none of this would’ve been possible.

Feel free to follow along with my journey in my FEA Blog Posts throughout the summer!
Maybe by the end of the summer I’ll be more comfortable with talking to the camera…

Thanks for watching!
Best,
Derek Luna
