More About This Scholar
“Hello” in your host country’s language: Ciao
Home Institution (your U.S. University/College): University of California, Riverside
Expected graduation year: 2022
Destination city & country: Sicily, Italy
Program provider: University of California Education Abroad Program
Major/minor: Sustainability Studies / Geology
Demographics: Asian/Asian American, First-Generation American, First-Generation College Student
Future career aspirations: In the future, I plan on serving in the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps program under FEMA Corps. This program will allow me to serve communities that have been impacted by disasters while gaining professional development experience in the emergency management sector.
Top 3 goals for your time abroad: I would like to see myself grow professionally and academically in the field of geosciences. But to also experience new surroundings and meet different people. I am looking forward to climbing the Mt. Etna volcano and studying the geology of the Mediterranean island in southern Italy. As well as, wandering the island of Ortigia and observing different architectural landscapes and trying out different foods.
