Future Career Goals:
My future career goals are deeply intertwined with my commitment to justice reform and supporting marginalized communities. As the founder of Daughters of Resilience, a nonprofit aimed at empowering young women impacted by parental incarceration, I’ve witnessed firsthand the importance of advocating for individuals who face significant structural and social barriers. This experience has driven me to pursue a career as a business attorney, focusing on international and business law, where I can influence the policies and practices of companies and organizations to create fairer and more inclusive opportunities. Through my legal career, I aim to bridge my nonprofit work with a broader mission to reshape how businesses and policies interact with and impact underserved communities. By combining my JD and MBA, I’ll be prepared to lead in spaces where law, business, and social impact intersect, ensuring that my work contributes to a legacy of resilience, empowerment, and real change.
Top 3 Goals for your time abroad:
1. My goal is to gain a thorough understanding of Brazil’s unique business environment, particularly how cultural, political, and economic factors influence multinational investments in the country.
2. I aim to learn how Brazilian companies incorporate sustainable practices into their operations and understand the social and environmental impact of these initiatives.
3. I seek to strengthen my cross-cultural communication skills and build a global network by engaging with Brazilian business leaders, peers, and local communities.
