Kenya Casey

As the Associate Director of Program Support for The Carter Center’s Health Programs, Kenya Casey provides operational support to international health programs in nine countries.  Before joining The Carter Center, Kenya spent eight years at Emory University’s Center for International Programs Abroad, beginning as an Advisor for students traveling to Africa and Asia and leaving as an Associate Director who managed and supervised staff and streamlined the external scholarship process to substantially increase the amounts of student awards. 

For over seven years, Kenya co- facilitated dozens of diversity workshops and published manuals on recruiting underrepresented students to education abroad.  Kenya studied abroad in Ghana before receiving a B.A. from Clark Atlanta University, and again as a graduate student in Ethiopia before receiving an M.S.W. from the Howard University School of Social Work.  She received the Fulbright Scholars Award in 2009 and participated in the Fulbright Korea International Education Administrators Program.
