Elsa has worked in the field of international education for over 10 years. Her career is highlighted by spearheading GoAbroad.com’sย growth to over 1 million visitors every month, while simultaneouslyย raising significant funding for their corporate nonprofit, the GoAbroad Foundation. She joined the Access Advisory Board to improve funding resources and access to scholarships that can help even more students experience global education.
She embarked on her first international volunteer trip to the Philippines in 2009, which profoundly impacted her personal life and professional career. She returned multiple times to the Philippines before she was introduced to GoAbroad.com, beginning with a content internship at their Philippines office in 2013. Since then, Elsa has progressively taken on more significant roles at GoAbroad, managing content and leading SEO initiatives, before moving into executive leadership roles.
Elsa has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Shortly after graduating, Elsa relocated permanently to the Philippines, where she still resides and now oversees operations of GoAbroad’sย main office of 60+ employees.
