Peaceful opposition or silenced protest? Throughout the city, graffiti-drawn messages and flags adorn the buildings. These are the methods in which opinions are being expressed. For example, the first picture below shows anti-meat graffiti sprayed on a pillar directly across from a meat stand in the local market (second picture).

Now, COVID-19 could very well be the reason for the lack of active, peaceful protests on issues in the country. Are there other factors, however, that influence how Spaniards express their opinions? Was it different before the pandemic, I wonder?
