A young Iraqi finds community in Jordan as he waits for his asylum case

Mohamed Ata used to visit Amman every summer to see his sister. One summer, his parents decided that he should stay put there as the war in Iraq worsened.

While he waits for his asylum case to be processed, he shares with me his personal experience coming out to his family and living as a young gay man in the Middle East.
