Lotte World

This week I have been practicing my korean 110x more and my Korean classes have gotten more easier to understand. Also, I can fully read and pronounce Korean sentences even though I donโ€™t know exactly what they mean sometimes. I still have areas or moments when I struggle in class, but practice makes perfect, so thatโ€™s what I need to do. My other classes are going fine. Me and my housemates went to lotte world this week, which is almost like an indoor Disney world. It was an hour train ride away from our house. Before we went in we visited a place called ewha school uniforms, where you could rent school uniforms to wear for a small fee. It was a good idea, I actually felt like I was a part of a Korean high school, A lot of other people at the lotte world also wore them. They have two parts one part is inside and one part is outside. They have shops, food stands, rides, and attractions inside. Then outside they have a huge castle and that night there was a zombie dance performance. Zombies danced on top of the castle while there was fire and music. They also had zombies and people in costumes walking around the outside part of the park. Outside also had more rides and food. I would say outside was my favorite part. I hope to go back when they open up their ice skating rink. I also visited a famous bridge that is over han river, which is a major river here in Seoul. It was a nice night and I learned information and history about the bridge. Thereโ€™s actually a Korean song about the bridge that I happen to listen to. But, I did not know it was about that bridge. I feel like itโ€™s been pretty easy to adjust to living here in Korea. I actually really love it here and am enjoying my time. I know my way around my neighborhood here and can walk around comfortably without feeling lost or scared. There are times when I feel slightly out of place or misunderstood, but it is all about adapting and learning. There has been a lot of things that I have had to adjust about myself and daily life to feel more comfortable here. But, I think it is a good thing to be pushed out of your comfort zone sometimes. I believe that I am growing as a person and my mindset is maturing, while I am here. I hope to learn as much as I can and become a more knowledgeable and informed person.
