During my trips in Japan, one thing I missed the most was Mexican foods such as Tacos. Coincidentally, near my university there is a taco store where I went with some international friends. I ended up getting carnitas tacos which seemed to be a Japanese interpretation of Tex-Mex tacos. This is because the tacos were served on a hard shell, but the meat was made in a rice cooker with a type of sauce. Moreover, there is a โ€œspicyโ€ sauce used which is more sweet than spicy. I am not sure what it is called but it is interesting to see American Interpretations of Tacos be interpreted by Japanese locals.
