Hey everyone!

Today is about to be the longest day of travel I’ve ever been associated with (insert sad face emoji here), but I’m also extremely excited and positive about my travels (insert happy face emoji here)!

I have been thinking a lot about this trip – what life will be like in South America, how my friends and loved ones back home will be while I’m gone – but I’ve come to the realization that I can’t really change anything.  That is to say that life is moving and I have made the decision to get on board rather than be left behind.  I’m nervous, anxious, excited, curious, and a million other emotions in between. I figured I could at least use the time I have left at the Miami International Airport to put some of these ideas and feelings into text.

Before I go, I would like to thank everyone that has supported me in the process of preparing for this experience.  To everyone that donated, THANK YOU, and to my family and those closest to me, THANK YOU for being supportive and showing me just how much you love me.

Here’s a link to a low-budget film I created about leaving  – it’s not Oscar worthy yet, but once my new equipment comes in, you’ll see… (It’s actually never coming).

Stay blessed everyone and be sure to keep those traveling in your hearts and prayers.
