Last weekend, I had the opportunity to visit the Jamestown Cafe and visit an art gallery that had the works of James Barnor. He is a Ghanaian photographer whose work spans around sixty years. The gallery was small and was filled with his work. I went with two other people in my program and we were the only people in the gallery at the time that we went. It kind of felt like a private viewing party. It was across the street from the Jamestown Cafe which was a cute slightly hipster cafe. We ended up having lunch at the Akwaaba restaurant near the Black Star Independence Square and ending the day at the French Alliance. I would recommend that people learn more about James Barnor and visit the Jamestown Cafe if they get the chance.
