Celebrating Sant Jordi

This past Friday I, along with the rest of Catalonia, celebrated Sant Jordi. It is essentially Valentineโ€™s Day and World Book Day put together. Family and friends exchange roses and books to commemorate this day of love and culture. Everyone is out on the street, enjoying the rows and rows of books and roses spread out across the city. To top it off, this particular day was full of sunshine and probably the most people Iโ€™ve seen on the street since Iโ€™ve been here. Apparently, this is what an average day pre-covid looked like. It makes me even more grateful to be here in the time that I am because I can enjoy the city crowd-free. Sant Jordi was a beautiful day where you could feel the love in the air.
