This last week has been fairly full with classes and assignments so I haven’t done much exploring. I did however, manage to get some nice shots around campus and in the town as the seasons are starting to shift. I really think this may be one of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen. Here’s a little info on Ó¦rebro; the university and the town.
The University was founded in 1999, but has existed in different iterations since the 1960’s. There are 60 undergraduate programs and 20 graduate/postgrad programs, including an excellent School of Music, a culinary institute, a medical program and extensive teaching hospital.
Ó¦rebro is situated in the geographical center of Sweden, southwest of Stockholm. Home to 140,000 of the country’s 9.5 million people, it is Sweden’s 7th largest town. There is plenty to see in the city center, on the grounds of Ó¦rebro castle, and along the banks of the River Svartan (Black River). Ó¦rebro will celebrate its 750th anniversary in 2015.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so hopefully these will help you see what I don’t have room to write here. Enjoy!
