On Taiwan’s northern shore, Yehliu Geopark is a natural wonder that astounds visitors with its rare geological structures surrounded by the lovely coast. A rich heritage that transports you on an unforgettable journey through time is combined with spectacular rock formations, seaside landscape, and this location’s offerings.
I started traveling at 8 am using a ๏ฟฝ
๏ฟฝ่ป (bus), huddled up with my 7-11 snacks I started the hour and a half ride to Yehliu. I was amazed by the scenery as soon as I walked up to the park. The park is well known for its geological formations, which were created by millions of years of weathering and erosion. The Queen’s Head, a beautiful rock formation that resembles the profile of a queen wearing a regal crown, is the most well-known of these formations. I was quite eager to view the Queen’s Head because of how well-known it is. But as excited as I was, that wasnโt even the best part!
But what may not be as well known is that Yehliu Geopark offers stunning coastal vistas that are unforgettable in addition to the captivating rock formations. The limitless sights of the ocean greeted me as I wandered along the shore, and the cool sea breeze tingled my nostrils. Me and an American Friend I met saw and climbeda trail up the mountain to the viewpoint. Because of the hike had the time to truly appreciate its magnificence. Although the trek was challenging for someone my size due to all the branches and low hanging tress and the over 250 steps that left my legs feeling like jelly, the peak was breathtaking and made the effort worthwhile. I made a final halt at the cafe where I had started the journey. The magnificent peak I got to witness while trekking made the mango smoothie I brought at the end taste so much better!
My visit to Yehliu Geopark was a life-changing adventure that introduced me to a fantastical realm. The unusual rock formations, the rocky shoreline, and the atmosphere made my trip to Taiwan very unforgettable. It also taught me that as active as I thought I was, I am never active enough to tackle 250 stairs again. Yehliu Geopark is a real treasure, a symbol of the might of nature, and a must-see location for all nature lovers!
