It has been very, very hot here in Bishkek. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning when I got here, but other than that my opinion of the food here is good! More than anything, I really enjoy the novelty of being here. People have been so kind, and my Russian Language classes are very intensive. I did meet one gentlemen who may or may not have been a local who used a rather flippant/arrogant tone with me, which was rather disconcerting, but definitely not the norm.

It has been an interesting time for sure, but my experience overall has been largely positive thus far.
