ยกVamonos a Santiago, Chile!

Here I am in Bush Intercontinental Airport preparing to board my flight to Santiago, Chile (with a brief 3-hour layover in Mexico City to stretch my legs). To my surprise – or maybe my unspoken expectation – my luggage weighed 20 lbs over the limit. Luckily, my sister (mi hermana in Espaรฑol) drove back to the airport with another bag so that I could adequately distribute the weight of my bags and not let United Airlines get away with highway robbery for checking my overweight bag (it would have been an extra $80 both ways). Nevertheless, everything worked out splendidly, and I successfully made my flight to Santiago. There’s much more to come so stay tuned!
