Greek Adventures Unforgettable Memories

I’ve been enjoying my time in Greece for almost three months now, and the experience has been quite remarkable. Along the way, I’ve made some wonderful friends who not only welcomed me warmly but also helped me navigate the nuances of the Greek language. Despite the initial challenges, I’m pleasantly surprised at how well I’ve been progressing.

My new friends have essentially become my guides to Athens, showing me around and making the city feel like home. Recently, the university organized an exciting international road trip, and our destination was the historic marvel of Delphi. Our guide shared fascinating insights into the history of this ancient religious sanctuary, dedicated to the Greek god Apollo and dating back to the 8th century B.C. The Oracle of Delphi, overseen by the revered priestess Pythia and renowned for her prophetic abilities, added a layer of mystique to the entire experience.

Exploring Delphi was a captivating journey through time, and the trip has become a standout moment of my time abroad. I want to express my gratitude for the enriching opportunities provided by the study abroad program. Each outing, particularly the one to Delphi, has deepened my understanding of Greek history and culture. The shared laughter, language exchanges, and exploration of historical sites have collectively woven a tapestry of memories that I will cherish long into the future.
