One of the most beautiful things in Costa Rica are their beaches. As a late Valentine’s Day gift to myself, I traveled to Puerto Jimenez with my Mamรก Tica and one of my housemates for the weekend. For this trip we had to wake up at 4 AM and meet at the bus station before 5 AM. Our destination was about a seven hour drive with breakfast included. We arrived at our destination around 12:30 pm, where he had a typical Costa Rican lunch. A couple hours later, we arrived at one of the beaches that had beautiful clear and still water. After sundown, we went on a boat ride to see the flying fish.

The following morning, we went dolphin sightseeing. This was a very spectacular experience as I got to be really close to the dolphins and their environment. After, we went to another beach that had the clearest beach water I’ve seen. This trip was very rewarding as I got to learn more about Costa Rica and spend quality time with my mamรก Tica and other ticos.
