As soon as we left the airport, I was pleasantly surprised by the lush greenery and carefully maintained landscaping. Ho Chi Minh City is bursting with vibrant colorsโ€”from the bold facades of buildings and charming cafรฉs to the endless stream of motorbikes and the beautiful trees and plants that line the streets. The energy of the city hit me right away, and everything felt alive and in motion.

I enjoyed a delicious snack of fried vegetables and crab spring rolls, paired with a refreshing coconut tea. It was the perfect introduction to Vietnamese flavors. I spent that first day simply taking it all inโ€”the breathtaking views, the vibrant streets, and the constant movement of life around me. Thereโ€™s so much to see in Vietnam, and even on day one, I could feel how special this place was.

Our tour guide led us on a fascinating visit to a historical museum, where we learned about the spiritual significance of ancient gods and revered teachers who have shaped Vietnamese culture. Later, we strolled down the famous Book Street, picked up a few souvenirs, and even bumped into other tourists at the Central Post Office. That evening, our group gathered for a welcome dinner in the Vo Thi Sau neighborhood, a perfect way to end our first day in Vietnam.
