Hey Everyone!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but in just 30 days, I’ll be hopping on a plane and heading to Greece for the experience of a lifetime! This isn’t just a study abroad trip–it’s a chance to explore ancient landmarks, iconic temples, and immerse myself in a culture rich with history and flavor. I’m beyond excited (and a little nervous) to explore a new country and make the most of this incredible opportunity I’ve been given with the help of my scholarship.
As a Culinary Arts student, I’m especially excited to dive into the food scene: from bustling markets, to traditional dishes, and everything in between. While this journey isn’t strictly culinary-focused, I plan to soak up as much food culture as I can (and probably taste-test more than I should). It’s a chance to fully immerse myself in the flavors, traditions, and culture of a place where food is both history and art.
For now, I’m soaking in the anticipation. I’ve started brushing up on some Greek phrases, looking at the itinerary, and daydreaming about sun-drenched islands, ancient ruins, and all the food I can’t wait to try.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing updates, thoughts, and moments–both the big and the small–leading up to my trip and while I’m there through this blog and my other socials, and I’m so excited to document every step–from prepping for the trip, to exploring the ancient ruins, tasting local cuisine, and of course, all the unforgettable experiences once I land in Greece.
Thanks for following along–here’s to the next 30 days!
