<i>"Hello" in your host country's language:</i> 안녕하세요! <i>Home Institution (your U.S. University/College):</i> University of Texas at Austin <i>Expected graduation year:</i> 2024 <i>Destination city & country:</i> Seoul, South Korea <i>Program provider:</i> – <i>Major/minor:</i> Elementary Education <i>Demographics:</i> Asian/Asian American, First-Generation College Student, Pacific Islander <i>Top 3 goals for your time abroad:</i> 1. Develop basic Korean language skills and practice it! 2. Explore and immerse myself in Korean culture 3. Create meaningful connections with others

After a long ~5-hour study session, we were rewarded with snow! Something about standing outside with your friends and admiring the falling snow at 6:30 in the morning is so special to me. (Unfortunately, we may not be able to do this again because both of my friends got sick after this!!)

Being able to witness my first snow in Korea with my 2 closest friends that I made during this past exchange semester was something I will never forget. Without them, I likely would’ve experienced Seoul’s first snow by myself. This was also of my friend’s first time seeing snow, so I felt happy to experience that happiness with her, and she reminded me just how beautiful these small moments in life are.
