FEA expands its flagship partnership program with WorldStrides, the organization that houses study abroad program providers ISA and TEAN

Washington, D.C., June 23, 2022โ€”Leading education abroad provider WorldStrides has joined forces with The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) as an Access Partner to provide scholarships to high-achieving U.S. undergraduates who are underrepresented in the study abroad population, including students of color, first-generation college students, and community college students.

FEAโ€™s Access Partner program is a collaborative venture launched in 2017 to bring together study abroad providers and international education leaders to create scholarship opportunities for students with financial need seeking to participate in international education programs.

โ€œWe are proud to join forces with FEA and the many Access Partners who share our belief in the expansive opportunities of international education, as well as our longstanding commitment to access and inclusion in study abroad,โ€ said Jennifer Acosta, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ISA and TEAN by WorldStrides. Jennifer will join the programโ€™s Access Advisory Board (AAB). Comprising staff representatives of each member organization, the AAB offers guidance and feedback on the Access Partner program.

WorldStrides joins established Access Partners CAPA The Global Education Network, CET Academic Programs, DIS Study Abroad, AIFS Abroad, The American University in Cairo, Education in Ireland, FIE, GoAbroad.com, Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA), The Intern Group, The School for Field Studies, SIT Study Abroad, University of Auckland, and USAC.

โ€œWe are thrilled to welcome WorldStrides as an Access Partner as we work collaboratively with a growing group of leaders in international education to change the face of study abroad,โ€ said Angela Schaffer, Executive Director for FEA.

Access Partners pledge support to FEA scholarship applicants who are planning to participate on one of their study abroad programs, and support FEAโ€™s operations. Qualified applicants studying on programs hosted by providers in FEAโ€™s Access Partner program may receive additional dedicated scholarship funds.
