My long-term goal is to return to Kaua?i and build a nonprofit organization that supports children and families affected by addiction. Growing up, I saw how substance abuse can impact entire households, especially children who often lack stability and support. I want to create programs that focus on mentorship, family stability, and providing resources for those navigating difficult home environments.

In the short term, I plan to continue building experience in communications, marketing, and brand partnerships through internships and leadership roles. These skills will help me effectively raise awareness, secure funding, and build strong community outreach programs for my future nonprofit. Ultimately, I want to combine my professional experience with my personal background to create meaningful, lasting change in my home community.

1. To step outside of my comfort zone by fully immersing myself in a new culture, gaining a broader perspective on how people communicate, live, and build community in a different environment.

2. To strengthen my independence and adaptability by navigating daily life abroad, which will help me grow both personally and professionally.

3. To gain new insights and perspectives that I can bring back to Kaua?i, helping me better understand how to support and connect with diverse communities in my future work.
