Future Career Goals:
Through undergrad, I’ve come to love doing research in biochemistry. My current project involves studying a protein that may potentially one day be used as a blood substitute. My goal for the future is to one day merge my interests in biochemistry research and in neuroscience by working to develop treatments for neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases through research and development and clinical care.

1. Pursue a new research project on a new topic at my host institution
2. Reconnect with my family’s Irish heritage
