I currently study Diplomacy and Global Politics, Economics, and Russian. It has always been my main objective in life to help people and make the world a better place. To me the best way of doing this is through studying politics so I can truly make an impact on people’s lives through policy. My career goal would be to work for the U.S. Department of State in some capacity such as being a foreign service officer. I would also be interested in working for the United Nations or any international non-profit organization where I could truly help people.

I have many goals for my time abroad. One of those goals is to further my understanding of my major. I study global politics so this is a perfect opportunity to be in a foreign country and gain an unique global perspective on politics. I also hope to further my career goals while abroad. I plan to do an internship while abroad to help further this goal. Another goal I have is to challenge myself, get out of my comfort zone, and fully immerse myself in this foreign city. Living abroad will force me to figure things out on my own. I will have to navigate a foreign environment, new culture, and languages. This will be a great opportunity to adapt, grow, and gain independence.
