Future Career Goals:

I’m really interested in the intersection of health, tech, and people. I care a lot about health equity and how science actually shows up in everyday life. I’ve done health disparities research and some Python coding and realized that I want a career that mixes data, creativity, and communication – not just straight lab work.
After graduation, I intend on taking a gap year and work full-time in a lab or hospital on the tech/data side. During that year, I’ll apply to master’s programs in Health Informatics, Biomedical Data Science, Digital Health, or UX for Healthcare. Basically, I want to help make healthcare easier to understand, more accessible, and more human.

Top 3 Goals for your time abroad:

1. See how healthcare works outside the U.S.
I want to learn how Australia approaches health, especially when it comes to access, equity, and the use of tech in healthcare. I’m curious to see what they do differently and what I can bring back with me.
2. Grow my skills in a way that actually excites me
I want to explore classes or projects that let me mix science with creativity – whether that’s data storytelling, design, community health, or something I don’t even know I love yet.
3. Get out of my comfort zone and enjoy life
I want to meet new people, travel, try new things, and learn more about myself. I want this experience to help me grow, not just academically, but as a person – more confident, more open, and more sure of the direction I want to take.
