Future Career Goals:
For my Future Professional Goals, I hope to become a retail Buyer and gain experience in product selection and financial management. I would also like to continue to develop my skills in assortment planning, trend forecasting, and inventory analysis. I also hope to gain experience as a visual Merchandiser to develop skills in display design for brands, gain more experience in customer analysis, and strategic thinking in the latest styles and trends. I overall hope to achieve to become a brand owner and create my own apparel brand. I like to launch a sustainable brand with eco-friendly materials and packaging. I knew this was the correct move to gain experience first-hand working with other brands, gain connections, and confidence to later open my own brand because my mentor, Mrs. Grace Fooden, took a similar step before becoming ceo of her own brand. She advised getting as much experience working with others before working on something on my own
Top 3 Goals for your time abroad:
My first goal for my time studying abroad is getting to meet new people. I think it is important for personal growth to open up and get out of my comfort zone, and what is better than to flourish in a new country with people experiencing the same thing. My second goal is to find new creative inspiration through the culture in London, not only creativity in fashion, but also getting to experience new knowledge in the global supply chain, and learning new ways to operate a brand behind the scenes. My final goal, the most important and exciting for me, is experiencing firsthand how a brand operates through my internship. This is a great opportunity for me to learn what working in the fashion industry will look like and experience how a brand operates globally.
