My goal is to become a General Manager for a professional sports team and build a career in the front office of the sports business industry. I’ve always been drawn to how sports bring people together, and I want to be part of the team that makes that happen behind the scenes. I hope to work my way up by learning the business side, operations, marketing, and player development, and using those skills to help organizations grow both on and off the field. Studying abroad in Brazil will give me a global view of how sports and business connect across cultures, which is something I want to carry into my career. In the long run, I want to lead with integrity, open doors for others, and show that people who come from humble beginnings can run the game too.

Build global business experience: I want to learn how international companies in Brazil operate and understand how culture impacts business and leadership.
Improve my Portuguese and communication skills: I plan to fully immerse myself in the language so I can connect with locals, classmates, and professionals in meaningful ways.
Grow personally and professionally: I want to step outside my comfort zone, gain independence, and bring back new perspectives that will help me in my future career in sports business and management.
