My ultimate goal is to graduate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and become a criminal defense attorney. Growing up, I saw how easily people can be judged or misunderstood by the legal system, especially those who come from working-class or immigrant families like mine. That’s what drives me to want to make a difference. After law school, I hope to work with a respected law firm or the Public Defender’s Office in Baltimore City, where I can stand up for people who don’t always have a voice. I want to be part of creating a justice system that treats everyone with fairness, dignity, and compassion.

My first goal is to fully immerse myself in Berlin’s culture and society. I want to learn how people live, think, and interact within their system so I can better understand international affairs and how policies work in different parts of the world.

My second goal is to explore as many historical and cultural sites as possible. I want to take part in IES-sponsored trips, local tours, and any opportunities to experience Berlin beyond the classroom so I can truly take in everything the city has to offer.

My third and most personal goal is to learn German at a beginner-to-intermediate level by the time I return. I already speak Spanish fluently and would love to continue growing as a multilingual speaker. Becoming a polyglot has always been a dream of mine, and this experience will help me build a strong foundation in a new language.
