My future career goal is to work in public health and policy nursing, focusing on advocating for and treating underserved patient populations. After earning my BSN and gaining experience in public health nursing, I plan to further my education by pursuing a doctorate-level nursing degree. This will allow me to expand my scope of practice, deepen my understanding of healthcare systems, and make a greater impact on the communities I serve. Through this path, I hope to improve health outcomes, influence policy, and provide better/more equitable care to those who need it most.

During my time abroad, I hope to participate in volunteer work at the University of Limerick, continuing the commitment I’ve had for the past seven years to working with my local communities. I want to explore the differences in nursing practice and education between the EU and the United States, broadening my understanding of global healthcare and strengthening my ability to advocate for diverse patient populations. Beyond academics and volunteering, I look forward to visiting the Cliffs of Moher, taking in Ireland’s natural beauty and appreciate the world around me.
