Future Career Goals:

My future career goals include becoming a Human Resources professional in a beauty industry in New York City. I want to be a resourceful leader in putting the pieces together to foster a enjoyable and dynamic work culture. By going abroad to the other side of the world, I can gain insight and bring an innovative perspective to HR practices that aligns with the beauty world. Overall, I want to create an environment of cultural diversity.

Top 3 Goals for your time abroad:

1. Intern at Mary Ching or SHOKAY Textiles & Knitwear to gain insight about China’s fashion industry environment, refine interpersonal skills in cross-cultural communication, and understand the Chinese consumer market.

2. Visiting popular and hidden gems in the city to be more in touch of my heritage. I also want to try out unique Chinese cuisine and dishes that I never had before to expand my food horizon.

3. Being proud and comfortable of my Chinese identity. I want to improve my Chinese speaking skills through daily interactions, navigating around the area, and communicating formally with colleagues and clients.
