Future Career Goals:

As a First-Generation college student, I’ve always carried a deep desire to explore the world—something I didn’t have the chance to do growing up. Traveling wasn’t accessible for my family, but I always knew it was a piece of life I longed to experience. When I came into college, I made a promise to myself: that one day, my career would take me places—literally and figuratively. I want to work somewhere that allows me to see the world, learn from different cultures, and create a life that feels full. At the same time, I want to be present for my family. My career goals aren’t just about professional growth—they’re about being able to support my parents, show up for the people I love, and create a balance between life and work that honors where I came from.

I have so many interests, and I would love to explore them all at some point in my life—whether that’s through my career, creative projects, or personal growth. My interests include fashion, content creation, technology, AI, marketing, and more. Career-wise, my goal is to work at the intersection of marketing, technology, and creativity. I want to use my skills in digital design, branding, and data to help organizations connect with diverse audiences in meaningful ways. Most importantly, I want to be a mentor to other first-generation college students and give back to Bentley University for all of the opportunities it’s given me.

Top 3 Goals for your time abroad:

Representation – To show that first-generation students of color belong in global academic and professional spaces, breaking barriers and expanding what’s possible for those who come after me.

Cultural Fluency – To immerse myself in Jamaican culture and gain a deeper understanding of how history, identity, and consumer behavior shape global branding and marketing strategies.

Transformation – To grow both personally and professionally by stepping out of my comfort zone, embracing new experiences, and returning with fresh perspectives that will shape my future career and mentorship journey.

A Message to Our Donors:

Dear FEA Donors,

When I boarded a plane from Los Angeles to the East Coast for college, I carried more than just luggage—I carried my family’s dreams, their sacrifices, and the quiet hope that I could build a future bigger than any of us had seen before. Because of your generosity, I now have the chance to take that hope even further—across borders and into a new chapter of growth. This scholarship allows me to study abroad without financial burden and fully embrace an experience that once felt out of reach. Thank you for helping me prove that students like me belong in every space, and for inspiring me to one day do the same for others.
