Monisha, who prefers to go by Mo, is an Architecture student and Honors College scholar at UNC Charlotte. She earned her Associateโs degree from Central Piedmont Community College, where she was actively engaged in leadership through the Student Equity Council. Monisha first studied abroad in London at the University of Roehampton, an experience that shaped her interest in global education and equity. After transferring to UNC Charlotte, she expanded her international experience by studying abroad again in Vienna, Austria.
Her current leadership includes roles with student organizations NC PIRG and H.E.R. Society, alongside advocacy work focused on housing, education, and inclusive public spaces. She has received prestigious awards such as the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer scholarship and the Benjamin A. Gilman scholarship and plans to pursue graduate study and a career that bridges architecture and public affairs, contributing to global conversations on equity in the built environment.
