Live and learn like a Barce-local! With Barcelona SAE, you will quickly become a Barce-local through course offerings designed to deepen students’ understanding of complex global issues from a Catalan and Spanish perspective at the School for International Studies (SIS), and the variety of included cultural activities – such as intercambios with local students, cooking classes, and guided day trips – offered to students each week. With classes in both English and Spanish and a variety of terms to choose from – Semester (fall or spring) and Summer (May, June, and/or July sessions – or, combine all three for a summer semester) – Barcelona, the Catalan capital, is an ideal city for students seeking a vibrant and enriching place-based learning experience.
In addition to study abroad, Barcelona SAE connects students with internship placement opportunities within a wide range of industries – Technology and Data Science, Engineering, Business and Marketing, y mucho más – as part of our credit-bearing internship program. Placements can be in both English and Spanish, and are offered during the semester (12 weeks) or summer (8 weeks).
As a Barcelona SAE student, you may also choose from a variety of included housing options – including living with a local host family; the ideal option for students who want to further their language and cultural learning while also saving money on out-of-pocket expenses.
FEA scholarship applicants interested in Barcelona SAE’s programming who meet FEA’s eligibility requirements could receive up to $5,000 per semester (summer awards start at $1,000).
Applicants who are awarded Barcelona SAE Access Partner Scholarships will receive their scholarship disbursement directly from the Fund for Education Abroad. FEA sends disbursements directly to the student awarded, either by mailing a physical check or via direct deposit.
