Miles from home: 4900 miles | Fun meter: Super HIGH

This might be of those posts where I let pictures โ€œsay a thousand words.โ€ After weeks and weeks of ups and downs, (and recovering from jet lag), it was finally relieving to feel like I was having a great time. As soon as my travel bus crossed into Czechia โ€” this might not seem relevant, but itโ€™s Czechia, not the Czech Republic the uninitiated โ€” I knew I was in for a great treat. Most of the people Iโ€™ve met that have done this same study program before have always had the same โ€œfavorite placeโ€: Prague/Prag/Praha/Praga. And for a good reason: this city is beautiful beyond words.
I refused to do any background on it and wanted to have no expectations. I am glad to say I was not in the least bit disappointed. Well, except for the millions of tourists that crowd city but I canโ€™t blame them since I was ONE of those tourists in the first place. Unlike my time in Berlin and Leipzig, I loved every single aspect of Prague. Yes, Iโ€™m gonna sound like every wanna-be โ€œtravel blogger,โ€ but you canโ€™t blame me. The food is terrific, the weather is just perfect enough, and the people can be a little nice (most times.) A few other students and I decided to go on a walk around the city upon our arrival, and after endless turns and, let’s say ‘interesting’ encounters with the locals, we ended up at a small entrance to one of the most significant spots in the city. The Powder Tower (Praลกnรก brรกna) is a gothic tower that used to be one of Pragueโ€™s 13 gates from the 15th century. As soon as you step inside, youโ€™re immediately transported centuries back as you go up a long, winding and narrow staircase that leads to the top. At the very top, you’re greeted to a breathtaking 360 view of Prague (that even I can’t describe in words.) And the entrance is a mere 70 Czech Korunas (3 bucks)…only Krakรณw beats this place in terms of prices.
Okay, Iโ€™m saying more than I wanted to, but you get the point.

Enjoy the photos and see you again in Vienna and Venice!!!

Praลพskรฝ orloj (Prague Chronological Clock) – This one is a little tricky. The clock apparently performs something very unexpected at the top of every hour but you will have to visit to find out (no spoilers)
