Well here we are, Iโve been dreading to write this last blog, but here I am now completing another milestone in my life. Where to really begin? To start with I want to thank everyone at FEA. I canโt begin to express my gratitude to you all for giving me this opportunity to once again walk on the fresh soil of the country that provided safe haven for my family. Coming back to India has always been a life long dream, but actually coming here to study and meeting such amazing people are experiences I could only fathom a year ago. Yet you have all made that possible for me and for that I will forever be thankful.
These past couple of months have been filled with life long experiences, memories and new friendships. Currently, Iโm in Bangalore, India getting ready to start my internship as a junior accountant and as I sit here in my office reminiscing about my time here in India so far, I begin to think about all the new friends Iโve made here so far. More then just India itโs the people that Iโve came across that have made my time here so un-forgetful and beautiful.
If you guys are reading this, I want to thank each and every one of you for welcoming me into your guys group of friends and showing me everything Mumbai has to offer. Iโve made so many memories and this by far is one of the best summers Iโve had. All thanks to you guys. I wish you all nothing but success and happiness in your future ventures. I hope to cross paths with you all in the future and grab a drink or two, but until then Iโll see you guys at the top.
Service Project While Abroad:
At this time I want to briefly write about my service project for FEA while I was in Mumbai. Through reconnection with my old roots, I wanted to find a way that I could bridge the gap between friend in the States and my new friends in India.
As I immerse myself into the rich Indian culture, I felt that it should be my priority to help my fellow Indian classmates understand the American culture. During my time in India, I held multiple Skype conference calls between UO business friends as well as my new Indian friends. From the first Skype call to the very last there was never a dull moment. My friends from both countries are very business minded and we were all able to have a fun open conversation about the different business opportunities in both countries, as well as share memorable college day stories.
Through these Skype calls I was able to introduce my friends from two different sides of the world, exchange stories, and open international net working opportunities. This was also a great opportunity to have my friends from both cultures interact with one another and build cross-cultural understanding. Iโm happy to say that we are all still connected through different social media outlets.
