Week #11 Movie Theater!

Published:

This week I got my nails done for the first time in Korea! I went with my two friends Valerie and Sydney. I have never had a more amazing experience and results when getting my nails done before. The artistry and technique nail salons have here is absolutely incredible! You could show them any photo from the internet of a nail design you like, and they can replicate it down to the very last detail. It is so amazing. If I had space to upload a photo of the nail art I showed her, you would be amazed at how perfectly replicated it is! I went with a blue, black and white theme which are some of my favorite colors/shades. Afterwards, I had dinner with my friends at a korean-italian restaurant and had really good pasta! Later in the week I went to the movie theaters for the first time in Korea with my friend. I had to get the tickets through a third party website that purchases the tickets for you, because in order to get one yourself you need an ARC which I donโ€™t have access to yet. We went to see the first black panther movie because they put it out in recognition of the new one coming out in a couple days! I have already seen it but my friend hasnโ€™t so we thought it would be a great opportunity for her to see the movie in theaters since it came out in 2018! I also really enjoy this movie, so I was more than glad to see it again in theaters. The food selection in the theater is similar to the U.S. in that they have popcorn, slushies and nachos, but what’s even more amazing is that they have instant ramen on their menu too! Also, it seems there is no rule that says you canโ€™t bring in food from outside to the theater like we have in the U.S. I found this really interesting, and awesome! We ended up bringing in Auntie Anne’s pretzels and bought some popcorn. We accidentally walked in too early to the theater and ended up seeing the last 5 minutes of the movie, but it was funny so we just laughed it off! I told my friend to cover her eyes, it was hilarious! It was also interesting seeing the movie in Korean subtitles too, as you can see in the photo I posted below! This is always going to be one of my favorite movies.
