Laetitia Flambeau joined the FEA team as a summer intern. She is currently enrolled in the online Masters in Global and International Education with a concentration in Human Rights Education at Drexel University. Originally from France, she earned a Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, a MA in Didactics of Foreign Languages, and an Elementary Teacher Certification from the University of Aix-Marseille. For the past 25 years, Laetitia has taught in French public schools and USA international schools. She currently owns a foreign language tutoring business in Austin Texas, where she teaches private students.
Her personal experience with study abroad as a summer exchange student in Ireland shaped her values and vision of the world. Her lifelong learning mindset and determination to be an agent of change drove her to go back to school through the community college pathway in the USA. As a first-generation college student, Laetitia believes everyone should have the opportunity to become empowered global citizens and engaged stewards of a peaceful world with a study abroad experience. She is the proud host-mother of two high school international students from Malaysia and Ivory Coast, who are now pursuing higher education. She is grateful for the opportunity to work for a nonprofit organization sharing her values of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
