Olivia Orosco

FEA Alumni Council Member

Olivia Orosco is a Fall 2017 FEA scholarship recipient. Olivia studied Climate Change: The Politics of Food, Water and Energy, in Vietnam, Morocco, and Bolivia with SIT’s International Honors Program. A recent graduate from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, Olivia majored in environmental science and politics. Passionate about environmental justice, FEA allowed Olivia to explore and deepen her understandings of the interconnections of environmental degradation and climate change, (neo)colonialism, and power in a global context. She currently works as a program coordinator at a literacy center for refugees and immigrants. Her future plans are to attend graduate school in geography to continue to explore and better understand how places are shaped by people and how people shape places.
