Jennifer studied costume and fashion design during an academic year in Paris, living with Francophones from Algeria and Tunisia who embraced her as family. She went on to work in language immersion education at the K-8 Portland French School, which her children attended, with colleagues who originated from Senegal, Canada, Belgium, and Haiti, among other countries. Exposure to welcoming international communities profoundly influenced Jennifer’s belief that diverse perspectives enrich the collective. As Executive Director of the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA), she helps underrepresented, often first-generation U.S. college students afford their own study abroad experiences.
Prior to joining FEA, Jennifer worked as Major Gifts Officer for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Associate Director of Development, Individual Giving at Ford’s Theatre, as well as Development & Events Coordinator at the Portland French School. Jennifer received her BA from F.I.T., the State University of New York and an MA in History of Decorative Arts from The New School, Parsons School of Design.
