Azea Sharp

Communications Intern

Born and raised in Indiana, Azea moved to Maryland with her family in 2014. She is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland that will be graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology in the fall 2019 semester.

As a student, Azea has interned with the United States Peace Corps, been a research assistant with UMD’s Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology, and has volunteered numerous times with various university programs. In addition to this, Azea spent a week volunteering in Ecuador with her school’s Alternative Breaks program and will be attending a 3 week, study abroad program in Brazil this summer. In the near future, Azea plans to pursue a career in education and hopes to focus specifically on Curriculum Development in both primary and secondary schools. She believes that her internship with the FEA will help her in her journey and is excited to be an intern for the organization!
