The first day was awesome. It is about a 15 minute walk from our dorms to the Reactor Institute in Delft (RID). Upon arriving we had to turn in our passports and get a special badge. Straight through the doors is a free coffee machine that everyone took advantage off and a little in front of that is our classroom.  We are lectured for about 4 or 5 hours a day by different people. Usually, Professor Landsberger (Shelly) does two one hour lectures and Joe (Shelley Jr) teaches one hour long lecture. They both are really fun and nice people. Shelley likes to crack tons of jokes, likes to very jingoistic towards Canada, and talk about the good old days. He is probably one of the better professors that Iโ€™ve had in college. After a lunch break two graduate students at the reactor come and talk about their research. Most of the research done involves the irradiation of samples and then studying the effects of it. The school day goes by so fast.
