A Japanese Illumination

Last week I got to go to a Japanese illumination. It reminded me of Christmas since that is when we have illuminations in America. In Japan they typically run until May. This is because many people don’t want to go out to see them when it is cold.

The illumination was held in Mie prefecture and it is famous in Japan. It was pretty crowed, with good reason. It was beautiful. It was an added bonus that the weather was warmer!

There was a huge screen that was on display that changed scenes. The scenes included a forest, a sunset, and the moon with a bunny inside of it. I can’t imagine what the measurements for it are.

They had many other lights as well, including a light tunnel and lights on a lake.

Overall, my favorite was definitely they light tunnel. It was gorgeous!
